HIV Services
For over 25 years, Compass has been a trusted provider of both medical and non-medical case management services for individuals affected by HIV and AIDS. Our dedicated team supports clients through every step of accessing care—offering personalized guidance, assistance with required documentation, and connection to essential medical and support services.
Working alongside our Health Services Department, the Compass HIV Prevention Team plays a critical role in educating the community about HIV prevention. Together, they ensure a seamless transition into care for clients, prioritizing compassion, dignity, and each individual’s unique needs.
Each year, our case management team serves more than 400 people across Palm Beach County, helping them navigate the healthcare system and live healthier, more empowered lives.

Case Management
Compass’ Health Services Department offers comprehensive medical and non-medical case management, mental health counseling, and peer support to promote healthier outcomes for people living with HIV/AIDS.

Free Rapid HIV Testing
Compass offers FREE, confidential rapid HIV testing for anyone who needs it. Testing is available on-site or at various community events, including Compass-hosted and partner events.
Additional STI testing is available through the CAN Community Health Clinic located inside the Compass Community Center.

Safer Sex Kits
We offer free Safer Sex Kits containing condoms, lubricants, and other items to support safe and informed intimate experiences. Kits are available for pickup at Compass.
Linkage to PrEP
Compass partners with CAN Community Health to offer Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) services to help prevent HIV.
Harm Reduction Supplies
Compass is proud to support harm reduction efforts. We provide:
- Narcan (naloxone)
- Fentanyl test strips (from Rebel)Plan B emergency contraception
These items are available free of charge at the center.
The CAN Community Health Clinic
CAN Community Health (CAN), the nation’s second-largest HIV care organization, has joined forces with Compass Community Center to bring a new, fully integrated health clinic to Lake Worth Beach.
Now, individuals visiting Compass for HIV testing, PrEP education, or those newly diagnosed can take the next step in their care—just steps away in the same building. The clinic also offers testing for other STIs, including gonorrhea and chlamydia.
CAN has proudly served Florida’s HIV community since 1991 and now operates 36 clinics across the country. Together with our partners, we’re breaking down barriers to care, raising awareness, and fighting to end the stigma surrounding HIV.
We welcome everyone—walk-ins included—and accept Medicare, Medicaid, commercial, and private insurance.

AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP)
The AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) is a state-administered program funded under Part B of the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program. It provides life-saving HIV medications to low-income individuals living with HIV who have limited or no prescription drug coverage through private insurance, Medicaid, or Medicare.
Who is eligible for ADAP?
Have a household income at or below 400% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL)
Be uninsured or underinsured (including those with high out-of-pocket prescription costs)
Have prescription expenses related to Medicare Part D or Medicaid Share-of-Cost
Not reside in a hospital, nursing home, hospice, or correctional facility
Be a resident of Palm Beach County, Florida

Once determined eligible, you must schedule an appointment with your local ADAP office to complete the enrollment process.
